  1. Thanks for the documentary. I loved the group growing up and being a RI native I got to see you live at the Viking Hotel when my mother took me and my older sisters there for a very special treat. I wanted to be Susan!

  2. just saw the doc….left a longer message in guestbook…miss and love you all!!

  3. The very first album I ever bought was a Cowsill’s album. I never knew that the family was – well, “dysfunctional”. What a sad film about such talented people. Makes the Jackson family story look well-adjusted!

I was completely impressed at the quality of the song writing and singing in the grown up Cowsills. Whoda thunk it?? And I think I still have a childhood crush on Susan 🙂

  4. I was born in 1961 and missed some of the music phenomenon that your family produced. I did regress a bit in years and your band caught my ear always.I love your harmonies/lyric/music and saw your lives documented on a pay channel today. I was really torn early with the documentary, yet excited for what the family is doing for future. Your music is with me and thanks. Let me know if a DVD would be available.

  5. I absolutely loved the cowsills as a kid and they were one of my fave bands! Whenever I hear one of their songs on the radio I blast it 🙂 saw the docu on cable, I’m still a fan and would love to see a show in person if I have the opportunity

  6. I was born in 1965 and remember the Cowsills as a very little girl and I loved them! This documentary was gripping and moving. They left a lasting impression on my life with their singing and now with their movie. I laughed and cried both out loud. Bless you for giving us so much joy in your music and letting us see your “real” life.

  7. Enjoyed and was well educated in Cowsills history by watching the Showtime doc a few days ago. Your candor is appreciated and respected. I wish all of you the best and hope we continue to hear and see you perform when possible.

  8. About a month ago I was wondering “what ever happened to the Cowsills?” I saw the documentary on showtime, It was shocking. The songs that were played brought back great memories. My favorite song “Indian Lake” of course…still love you all.

  9. I was a rock drummer in the 60’s but liked the Cowsills for what they were as musicians especially how they did the song Hair. I always wondered what happened to them for they should have made it much bigger and lasted much longer. This was a great documentary and now a lot of people will see h0w great they were and still are. Wish they would come to Florida so i could see them. Its so sad how we lost some of them in the last few years but they are in our memories and they are still playing in there new home. God Bless the futures of all the remaining family with love and abundance.

  10. The Showtime special had a profound effect on me. I always loved the Cowsills and wondered
what happened. The band so deserves to be inducted into the Music Hall of Fame. I wish
Billy and Barry were here enjoy this. I watched the program 3 times, Excellent and well done.
Hopefully you guys will play in Colorado, I’d love to see you.

  11. I only knew a bit about the Cowsills before watching the Showtime. Some of the hits make up the part of me growing up.

So stunned and impressed I came here and am glad I can write a word to say you have a new fan.

The world needs to see how strong you all are after all you’ve been through and still have to deal with.

You see shows like American Idol and others where people want fame and celebrity. This film illustrates in big bold what is truly important.

    I admire you all

  12. What a way to start the day! Show came on at 7:45 a.m. and I was still in bed. My husband came in and said the Cowsills were on Showtime! I jumped out of bed and ran to the den. WOW! What memories! It always pains me to hear their plight as they were and always will be a fantastic family & band. I will always cherish them and stop what ever I’m doing when they come on the radio. And SMILE! Congrats on the Hall Of Fame!!!

  13. Just finished watching the Showtime preview….amazing memories….thank you….

  14. I am waiting for the DVD. I am sure there will be mouth dropping moments as well as poignant moments. I have been told to keep the tissues near by. My heartfelt thanks to The Cowsill Family and to Louise Planker.
