WMGA TO LAUNCH WEEKLY SHOW HOSTED BY THE COWSILLS

Posted on May 10, 2024 by webmaster
Kindred Communications Classic Hits “97.9 The River” WMGA Kenova/Huntington WV will launch a weekly show hosted by the band The Cowsills.

“Cowsill Chronicals..A Deep Dive Into the 60’s and 70’s” will be a one hour show featuring interviews from other artists of the time period including Little Steven, Peter Noone and Bill Medley. The show will also be made available for syndication.

The Cowsills came to prominence in the late 1960s with hits including “The Rain the Park and Other Things” and “Hair.” They were the supposed inspiration for the Partridge Family while continuing to tour and host a weekly podcast.

Kindred Communications CEO Mike Kirtner stated, “Listening to their podcast, I felt their interviews with legendary performers needed a wider audience. Using radio to highlight the artists with their music was a logical progression. Radio’s creativity continues to originate in smaller markets.”

Tune in on Sundays at noon and 10pm ET.
