The San Fernando Valley

We have been hearing from people who are seeing mentions of cities like Woodland Hills (where some of you may have seen Bob and others at Pickwicks Pub), Canoga Park, Encino, Granada Hills, Studio City (where Bob’s band used to play regularly) in the news about the fires in the Los Angeles area. Watching the news you might think the entire San Fernando Valley was on fire.

We want you to know at the time of this writing, because it is crazy unstable, the winds have been favorable up to this point and it’s really all about the wind. The Kenneth Fire, which started near Woodland Hills, was put out fast. Right now the Palisades Fire is hovering south of The Valley on the other side of the rim… at this time it’s being pushed to the southwest away from The Valley by the wind but fires like going uphill and that’s towards The Valley. That is an issue but there are 10 helicopters making round trips to the Encino Reservoir keeping the front of that fire line under control.

We are all safe right now. We have five more days of this ahead of us so nerves can get rattled but we’re all alert.

Condolences to The Osmond Family

We send our heartfelt condolences to The Osmonds for the loss of their brother, Wayne.

Wayne Osmond

If not for Wayne Osmond and his brothers performing regularly on “The Andy Williams Show” there may have never been a family band called The Cowsills.

We watched The Osmonds all through those early years and because of them developed our own true sense of harmony and singing with your family. Wayne was an integral part of their legacy and we will always be grateful for his and his family’s impact on our lives and on the world in general.
