a couple of years ago , I came across the video , the rain, the park and other things on youtube. from there i started watching everything i could about the cowsills. I never knew they were the ones who sang hair, and that old video is one of the best in my opinion. susan cowsills song “river of love” is fantastic, and her “to sir with love ” is too cool. I don’t think there”s to many groups who could and can harmonize like them. I love to listen and watch this family, thanks for the entertainment.

The cowsills lived up the street from me,I remember the family playing in Newport and becoming well known as well as their life struggles,I,m glad to see them healthy
The Cowsills were my first concert in San Carlos, CA. Circle Star theatre, waited to get autographs. I would love to get the DVD.
There is no DVD available at this point. The documentary is still on the film festival circuit and is currently looking for a distributor. We hope for wider distribution and hopefully a DVD in the future.
It was rerun here on Saturday on the 1 hr. weekend show. And there was more interview with Susan.

Quick story – You all were at the Michigan State Fair back in the day. I was SO excited and we lived on the next street over so I was well prepared to get there early and claim my spot at the bandshell, which I absolutely did!! My older sister and me went – she had just gotten a necklace with her name engraved on it – a BIG DEAL at the time – I was so crazy excited when you all came out, I ripped the necklace off her neck and threw it onstage!! Hahahaha! She’s 55 and I’m 54 and she still isn’t over it!! 😉 THANK YOU for the memory!!
I saw you on ET last night and just found out about your documentary – Family Band: The Cowsills Story. I have been a life long fan of your family and your music. Are you planning on putting the documentary on DVD for general purchase? I and I’m sure many other fans would love to buy it. Thanks!
Currently the documentary is looking for a distributor for wider distribution which could include a DVD. Once that happens, we’ll announce details on the site so stay tuned!
