I love you Cowsills, and I always have! Such full talent. “The Rain, The Park, and the Other Things” – pure genius and ecstasy! I love “Indian Lake”, too! Here in Ohio, we always went there in the summers during the 60’s! “The Prophecy of Daniel and John the Divine – I have played that vinyl, CD and MP3 until I’m (never) tired of it.

I present the Sunday breakfast show from 8 till 10 am on a community radio station, Pulse 98.4 FM, just south of Glasgow, Scotland. Was in the States in 1969 when “Hair” was riding high in the US charts and liked it immediately. I have a copy of it so it’s getting a play tomorrow along with birthday mentions. Best wishes!!
Happy Birthday Bob. When I was a kid back in the early 1970’s and my older brother brought home a record called The Cowsills in Concert, it was the first I’d ever heard of songs like Please Mr. Postman, Walk Away Renee, Sunshine of Your Love, Monday Monday, Paperback Writer, and Hair. We listened to that record repeatedly, and for years the Cowsills live versions were the only versions I knew of those songs, and most of the songs on that record became favorites. It was inconceivable to me as a young child, listening to a worn out vinyl Cowsills record, that some decades later I’d find your treasured musical talent performing live in front of me at a pub in Woodland Hills. Thank you so much for continuing to share your gift, Bob Cowsill!
Happy Birthday Bob and Richard. Like all the others here, I’ve always loved your music. I remember staying up to see you on the Ed Sullivan Show…then i think the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour too…and Global has the greatest harmonies of any record I heard in the 90s…just always been a fan and am glad you guys, like me, have weathered a few yesrs and are still around.
I have always enjoyed the Cowsills- I still do- I always thought you guys and girl were the cutest things I had ever seen – I had such a crush on Bill and Bob I thought you guys were the cutest things on earth – especially with the teeth gaps – oh well – By the way I also loved the music and harmonies – I still listen to your music – I am a woman in myfifties and have others listening to your music- I live in Manchester Vermont now and think you guys should come here to perform a concert – It is a beautiful area and we get many tourists – You would love coming here and we have some venues you could perform in – we also have a number of tourist attractions – think about it – I think you may do well here – In closing Happy Birthday to Bob and Rich – many happy returns – By the way, I think you guys still look pretty hot!
