One of the most interesting things about your work is the ability to slide together from one note to the landing note in unison. In “Hair” this is very evident. It can be very exciting when done well. Your choice of harmony notes was always great as well. I personally believe that some of the polished groups of the 70’s had studied your work and patterned their production after it. Your National Anthem performance also showcased your ability to choose great harmonies. You can change one note in a chord to get a completely different feel. Those great choices you make are not missed by your listeners! On another topic….. Those of us who also lived childhoods that were not ideal, yet tried to be happy children, appreciate that you shared that part of your life with us. I lived it and related greatly. I’m a child of the 60’s. And….. like yourselves, refused to pass it on. Thank you for the talented work!
Met you in the summer of 1968. Was tending bar at Dorian's through knowing one of the owners, a fellow student at RPI. I think Biggie is who got me a two-week job as a production assistant while you filmed "Milk for Health" commercials in Newport. A few stories to go with that. Have frequently been reminded of your talent because I have so many of your songs on multiple playlists. Just saw the documentary tonight. God bless.
Caught you guys last night at the Golden Nugget; quite simply, the performance was terrific and wonderful. The vocals and music were spot on. Only one disappointment, we didn't get to hear Some Good Years...How about the Action Skulls opening for you some time...
Just heard your 'Global' album for the first time, and then the second, third, fourth, fifth and so on and so forth time. What a great album. It honestly reminds me of Fleetwood Mac, but with a little bit more zing. All the best to you.
Really love your podcasts! Just heard the one with Chip Douglas. Amazing guy. I was surprised that "Wild Thing" wasn't mentioned. Tongue in cheek, parody rock 'n' roll, but mega classic hit. Loved ya' on the Happy Together show. Cocaine Drain and Global are both excellent! Can't wait for Rhythm of the World. The Rain, the Park and Other Things along with Hair live on (they're not the only ones though).
Missed you guys the other day down here in South Florida 🙁 - hope to catch you around the New Orleans area where my Brother and Dad live. Will certainly catch you all next time down to South Florida though
I remember (in Vietnam) Susan talking on a Christmas special, about her brother in Vietnam. I had achance to meet him in Danang. We got the special Months afterwards

If the clip "The Rain, the Park And Other Things" is any indication "The Billy Cowsill Benefit Concert" would have made an outstanding DVD and a must for me.
I enjoyed seeing and hearing Bob, Susan and Paul on the Time-Life CD collection commercial!
Best wishes to you all!

Thank you all for being you. I too was brought up in a musical family by an abusive "war hero". Your music, energy and love have carried me through the last divorce of my life with love and humor. Although on the surface I appear to be a jazz snob, the Cowsills are my favorite band. Thank you!!! P.S.: Susan is still a major hottie.
Back in the simmer of 1966 I was fishing on a dock in Kehchikan Ak. Long story short i got to spend a few days fishing with the Cowsills! Nicest people you could ever meet! They called me captain sad! Barry said he was going to name an albumn for me! Later in the mid 70s i came across there great albumn!
Captain Sad lol!

Your music always brought me so much joy! Love looking back at your videos & am looking forward to seeing more about a family that was & always will be an inspiration!!
Happy birthday in heaven, Barry. We sure miss you down here. When I think of you, I remember the 15-year-old who so kindly signed an autograph for me as you were being called away from adoring fans prior to your concert in Richfield, OH. All these years later I remember that kindness. I hope you're having a rocking' birthday up there.
Happy heavenly birthday, Barry. Thank you for the music and memories.
Thinking of Barry today. Happy Heavenly Birthday to my very first crush!
I saw these guys playing in DeKalb and it was a great show! The energy was incredible and they looked like they were having so much fun playing their songs from yesteryear! This is a "must see" group and i would go back to see them again. You made my day and that brought me smiles. Thank you and keep rocking!!!
Hello all you good folks. Been quite a while, eh? Hope you're all staying safe and well.
You were awesome in Grand Island Ne.!! Unbelievable energy and super super voices and harmonies!!
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY WISHES TO MR. BOB COWSILL! 💛
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Cowsill family on this sad weekend. Barry and I played in a band together in Carmel, CA just prior to him moving on. Great guy and musician.
