John,
Even though I was born in 1974, I have been a huge Cowsills fan for the last twenty years. My band played “Indian Lake” several times and its a show stopper. I hope you come to Los Angeles more often. May you have many Happy Birthday.
Your Number One Fan,
Colin
known of the cowsills for 50 years. John you got 1 year on me.happy 60th b-day.
Welcome to the “60’s”, John. It’s not bad at all. 🙂 Happy belated birthday. Was so pleasantly surprised to see you join your family at the Happy Together Tour last summer! Beautiful memories.
Happy 60th Birthday, John! Loved you since I was 13!
Happy Birthday John ????????????????????????????
I cannot even begin to say what a huge Cowsills fan I was in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I, too, was born in 1956 and lived & breathed “Cowsills” as a teenager. Even now, I LOVE the Cowsills’ music–the voices and harmonies NEVER get old–and I deeply mourn the passing of Barry (my teenage “crush,” so much so, my friends got tired of hearing me rave about him and the Cowsills’ music), Bill, and Richard. This past weekend I finally had the privilege of seeing the Louise Palanker documentary “Family Band: The Cowsills Story,” a DVD I waited months for through inter-library loan. I ache for what happened to this enormously talented group and family, broken mostly, it seems, by a father who did not know how to love his children and did so much harm to them, it’s astounding that they came through those years and still, not only make great music, but remain always a family. Thank goodness the Cowsill family members somehow learned to love themselves and each other. Hope John’s 60th b-day was a great one! (I have to face that in October!)
Happy, Happy 60th Birthday to you John!
I’ve always just adored you and especially Barry as well. I truly LOVE you on the
Beach Boys. Love your “Darlin” song, I can’t get enough of it, and you do it the
best! When it comes to the Cowsill family performances, I especially LOVED that
TV special watching you, Barry & Susan washing that St. Bernard dog.
Each of you were just so cute and I love your beautiful voices then and NOW!
Have a wonderful day,
Love from my Heart to you,
Carol Demanche
Happy Birthday, dear John! Wishing you a wonderful year ahead with family, love, and lots of music. Love, Sabrina Rood
Happy birthday John. I love you, your family and most of all your music. I follow the Beach Boys just to see you. I’m a ’56 baby as well. Enjoy your day and keep on drumming!!
Love and Hugs,
Vilma
