The dairy ads milked The Cowsills for all their wholesome family worth.
In the 1960s, before the Osmonds, the Jackson 5 or the fictional Partridges were the reigning family dynasties of pop music, The Cowsills out of Newport, R.I. — kid siblings Bill, Bob, Paul, Barry, John and Susan, plus mom Barbara — ruled airwaves and TV variety shows with hits like “The Rain, the Park and Other Things,” “Indian Lake” and “Hair.”
And, here are some photos of The Bob Cowsill Band at the Strawberry Festival:
Bob, enjoyed so much your concert at the Strawberry Festival on Sunday. I was amazed how your voice has not changed! You still got it!! Thank you again for the autograph! It was such a pleasure meeting you.
Read article this morning in our local paper. Good article, very insightful. Bob Cowsill and his band will be appearing at our Strawberry Festival, here in Oxnard, this weekend. Bob and Richard graduated from Middletown High School in 1967. Do you think if I bring my 1968 yearbook (year I graduated from Middletown High) to the Strawberry Festival on Sunday Bob will autograph? I’ll be there Bob, yearbook in hand 🙂
