I was wondering if “The Cowsills in Concert” is available on CD. It was a wonderful album! I almost wore the LP out by playing it so much back in the summer of 1969. I was 14 years old then. “Hair” has been one of my all-time favorite songs. The only CD I have now is “The Best of The Cowsills”. |

Your music brings back wonderful memories of my early teenage years back in San Juan, Puerto Rico!!!!! I learned English listening to the “American’ radio station that broadcasted through San Juan, WBMJ FM. Listening to your beautiful harmonies in Hair and The Rain, The Park and other Things will be copied but never equally duplicated:). |

My dad, nanny, and I attended your concert at Vernon, TX, and it was a BLAST! “The Rain, The Park, and Other Things” defines the 1960s. More importantly to me, it reminds me of my mom when we took road trips to go shopping. We listened to this happy song many, many times. My beloved mom passed away with cancer on September 14, 2007, and your song brings those wonderful days back. Her name was Pinky, and she had bright red hair and freckles. She had a heart of gold, and we use to put flowers in her hair. I’m glad I got to shake Bob’s hand at the concert- life memory. I’ll never forget meeting you guys. I was the young guy with a beard and glasses wearing a black shirt. You signed my CD. Me and my friends love the Hair song and played it many times this weekend. Dad loved the concert, too, but ended up with 5 stitches when he tried to cut the concert wrist band off with a knife. We’re going to make him use plastic knives from now on! lol! I hope your kids continue being a part of the Cowsill legacy. I would have liked to have met them, too. Thanks for contributing your songs to the world!!! I’ll pray the Lord Jesus will bless you richly and help you with your losses. He will always be the biggest fan of your lives. I hope you guys attend church; I attend an Assembly of God church which believes the whole Bible and nothing but the Bible. There is probably one near you. I hope to see you again some day!!! |

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio till I moved to Montana in 1992, I will always remember my dad taking me to see you perform at The Ohio State Fair. I don’t even remember the year I just remember screaming alot lol “The Rain, The Park & Other Things” will always be my favorite and still gives me goosebumps today when I listen to it. It’s also a great trivia question of what the name of the song actually is ! Thank you for making my musical life better ..my condolences to those deceased, they will always live on through music and my best to you all. |

My sister and I have enjoyed The Cowsills for years, and one of our dreams came true tonight. We just returned from seeing your show at The Ramshead On Stage, in Annapolis, Maryland (July 16, 2010). What a fantastic show! You all sounded great. What made the night even more special, was meeting Susan in front of Ramshead prior to the show (she had to run out and buy tights); and meeting Bob, Paul and Susan at the meet and greet after the show. All of you were so kind and personable in signing autographs for us and letting us pose for pictures with you! We cannot wait for you to return to the Annapolis area again! |

It was about 1969 and I am in my basement in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn NY with my friend Billy Nafash (RIP) and the flower Girl song comes on. Billy and I could not get the song out of our heads for the rest of the day. I have a shameful apology to make. For my unthoughtful comment to a ‘celebrity’ Naval bootcamp member. While standing in line for a meal from the mess hall in San Diego Naval Training Center, I got word of the presence of a member of a well-known pop-rock band. It was the summer of 1971 and I was 20 years old and not thinking straight or kindly. I walked up to this person and gave him an undeserved look up & down and said something to the effect that he didn’t look so special. I then turned and walked away somehow knowing that a retort would never come. If it’s any consolation, I think often of this encounter with a mixture of regret and self-loathing that I could have subjected someone who obviously possessed infinitely more talent than I would ever know but more importantly was much more mature and kind than I was at a time in his life that may have been the most difficult thing that he had ever done. For my behavior, I can only beg forgiveness. You see, I loved the music that he and his family left us and I assure you that his life held much more meaning than he may have realized. |

I saw the Cowsills at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany around 1969, it was my first rock concert. I was around 7 or 8 years old. I remember them doing “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and my older brother commenting how good they did it. I was smitten, and the cute little girl didn’t hurt either! |

I am sure this has been said a million and one times before but when I was 8 or so, I was so in love with Susie. I would have constant dreams that I FINALLY met her! This was it! Only to wake up again…. My God, I didnt even feel that way when I got married! LOL But anyway, The Cowsills provided a music that was so far ahead of its time, I liken it to Karen and Richard and the vocal perfection you all mastered. As to Susan, It would be extremely cathartic to meet you although the dreams have subsided It would be amaizing to meet you some day! You all provided a basis for my style as a sucsessfull and eventually professional musician.(Retired) Susan, Thanks for lighting up my life and giving a little boy such joy and longing. I loved you more than life itself!! Rich Green. richgreenchampion@yahoo.com Best regards and I might just dream about you again tonight. Content unavailable! Ha! Rich. |

I was the youngest of a family of 5–the others were 8-12 years older so I inherited a love of music from the 60’s and 70’s from them. (I’m 38 now). The sun, the rain and other things was one of my all time favorite songs. I also love Hair. Who doesnt, right? 😉 Over the years I’d lost track of the Cowsills, but never forgot the smiles you put on my face. I’m sad to hear that some have passed on, but glad to have found you again. |

Hey Guys! A year ago I was watching some of your live clips on youtube, thinking how wonderfully tight you continue to sound live and thinking how great it would be if fate would someday bring you perform at Ram’s Head in Annapolis. I was thrilled to see you are scheduled to perform there this July and I have my tickets. Last time I saw you guys perform was in the 60s at Jesus Savior Church’s annual bazzar accross from Sheffield, my old school. Looking forward to seeing the 3 of you in July. God bless. |

Thanks for a great show at the Mohegan Sun. The songs and sound were superb. Susan is an immense talent and it especially showed during Nanny’s Song. You thought you messed up, I just thought it made you more endearing. My one suggestion to the band would be to ditch the Partridge Family song as it pays homage to the fictitious family that ripped off and could not hold a candle to the original. Great time, thanks again. |

the Cowsills was the first concert I ever went to – I was 13 or 14 and my friend and I convinced her parents to take us to Atlantic City, NJ to the convention center to see them play – I think it was around 1969 – we were thrilled! They were a very talented family – too bad about Bill – yet another candle put out way too soon. RIP |

I saw the group at the Allentown, PA summer fair, probably around 1968. Loved the sound, and all these years later, got re-connected via the Internet. It’s great to see all of the various clips on YouTube that fans have contributed, which taken together, give us fans a better understanding of the family’s individual personalities and the variety of musical interests and skills they have. The recent 2008 clips sound great. |
