Cowsill Marathon III
HairHead Happiness - Vicky

CMIII

Since the early 90's, I have been really lucky to see The Cowsills (in various configurations) play quite a few times, but I have to say the weekend of Sept 24-25, 1999 was definitely something special!

I would have loved to join everyone at the Holiday Inn on Friday before St. Bernadines but "mom" duty called. And, I’m sorry I missed Friday night at Jerry’s Deli (but I did make it Saturday night!) and Saturday dinner at Cables … they sounded like great fun. But lucky for me, I didn’t miss out on what I consider the Best of the Best: the show at St. Bernadines and the show at the Pub … 3 hours of music one night and 4 the next … definitely a Cowsill fan’s dream. John, thanks so much for being such a "giver" … Path of Love was amazing! Paul, thank you, thank you, thank you for making it both nights … your efforts were appreciated and it wouldn’t have been the same without you. It was great to see and hear you again. Robby, you were superb … we’re still waiting for your vocal solo though! And, Bob, what can I say … as always, you totally blew me away with your talent and your generosity. You and Mary Jo were very gracious to let all of us disrupt your life for 2 days; thank you isn’t enough but I can’t think of anything that would be.

It was also great fun getting together with "old" (and I mean this in the nicest way Ü) friends from the site and meeting some new ones. I love putting faces and vocal intonations with the names on the board. Now, I will forever hear the voices when I read the messages on the board. Speaking of friends, it was great to go to Venice with Tracy, Kathy, Salia, Normak & Sandy … even if it was cold! I had a blast and I thank you all for putting up with my kids for the day (how dare they want to play instead of shop Ü) so I could go along.

It was a great weekend … it may be over, but the memories will be with me for a long, long time!
